King's College Chapel -- University of Cambridge
.
In 1444 King Henry VI commissioned architect Reginald Ely to plan the building of King's College Chapel.  But it was not until 71 years later, after the War of Roses in 1515 that the building was completed under the reign of Henry VIII. The chapel measure 289 X 40 feet, with an interior height of 80 feet.  It features the world's largest fan vault stone ceiling, and 24 of some the finest stained glass windows in the world.
