M11 star field
The M11 (Wild Duck) open cluster in Scutum is at the center of the field.  Below and to the 
right of M11 is the small dark nebula B108.  To the left and above is the large dark nebula
B320.  The golden colored stars above and to the right of M11 is the southern part of the
Scutum Star Cloud called  "The Gem of the Milky Way" by E. E. Barnard.
 
Photographic Data: An Astro-Physics 155 mm f/7 EDF refractor and Pentax 6x7 camera
were used with  Kodak Pro 400 PPF-120 film. Two 35-minute exposures were made centered
at RA 18 hrs, 51 min and Declination 6.2 degrees. The field of view is 3.0  x 2.5 degrees and
north is to the right.  The negatives were stacked and processed in the computer.
