Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex
In this image of the
Rho Ophiuchus complex one sees dark "streaming" nebulae B44 and B45
extending to the left of the triple star Rho-Ophiuchi
which is
surrounded by the blue
reflection nebula IC 4604 at the upper right.
It is also seen above the red supergiant star Antares, enveloped
in a yellow reflecting nebula. To the
right of Antares is the globular cluster M4 with Sigma Scorpii and its
surrounding red emission
nebula Sh2-9 at the far right. At the
center-bottom of the photo is the star Tau Scorpii and large faint red
emission nebula RCW 129.
