Ruin of Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition Hall, Hiroshima Japan
At 8:15 AM on the morning of August 6, 1945, Little Boy, the first atomic bomb used in war, was detonated almost directly above this building. The heat of the explosion immediately melted the copper Genbaku Dome, partially dissipating the pressure so at least some of the building managed to stay intact.
