Aioi Bridge ("T"-shaped) in Hiroshima Japan -- 2012
This was the aiming point (ground zero) for the Enola Gay when it dropped the U-235 Little Boy atomic bomb over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.  The bomb exploded about 550 feet from the target at approximately 1900 feet above the ground.

Captain Parsons was in charge of arming the Little Boy A-bomb on the Enola Gay.
