One of the most prolific astrophotographers of the film-age, Martin
Germano
is seen here in July, 2000 with his Schaeffer mount
and home built 14-inch
Newtonian
telescope. He was the first of the Mt. Pinos "Rat Pack" to master
astrophotography and he has
taught us all. His knowledge
of the night sky is encyclopedic.
