One of the most prolific astrophotographers of the film-age, Martin
Germano
is seen here in July, 2000 with his Schaeffer mount and home built 14-inch
Newtonian
telescope. He was the first of the Mt. Pinos "Rat Pack" to master
astrophotography and he has taught us all. His knowledge and
photographs
of the night sky are encyclopedic.
