Saint Basil's Cathedral
(Cathedral of the Protection of Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat)

A Russian Orthodox cathedral erected on Red Square in 1555–1561 by Ivan IV to commemorate the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan, it marks the geometric center of Moscow.  The church is erected over the grave of venerated local saint Vasily (Basil).
