Aioi Bridge ("T"-shaped) in Hiroshima Japan
This was the aiming point (ground zero) for the
Enola Gay when it dropped the U-235 Little Boy atomic bomb over Hiroshima
on August 6, 1945. The bomb exploded about 550 feet from the target
at approximately 1900 feet above the ground.
