Antares, M4, Sh2-9
Antares, surrounded by a yellow-ornage dust cloud, is the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius.  To its upper right is the small globular cluster NGC 6144.  Below and further to the right is the large globular cluster M4 and at the upper right the red and blue nebula Sharpless 2-9.  This is a joint project of James Foster and Michael Stecker using an Askar 103 APO triplet refractor from Frazier Park California.  The image is cropped.
