Simeis-147 (Sh2-240)
This is a collaboration of James Foster and me to photograph the very dim Simeis-147 (Sh2-240) "Spaghetti Nebula" near Taurus with my Askar 103 APO triplet refractor reduced to f/5.5 (FL= 560 mm) with a ZWO ASI6200MM-Pro full frame monochrome camera. This got about 70% of the nebula, which is a supernova remnant (exploded large star). It was photographed from a Bortle 4 site through 3 nm Hydrogen-alpha & Oxygen-III filters for 226 minutes and 161 minutes, respectively. This produced a false color HOO image where glowing hydrogen is red and oxygen cyan.
