IC 2118 "Witch Head Nebula" --cropped
 with Sky-Watcher Quattro 250P Newtonian telescope
 IC 2118 "Witch Head Nebula" is an extremely faint reflection nebula believed to be an ancient supernova remnant or gas cloud illuminated by nearby supergiant star Rigel in the constellation of Orion. This is a joint project of James Foster and me using a 10-inch f/4 Newtonian telescope at
Frazier Park California.

 FL= 1,000 mm

Astro-Physics 1200 GTO

imaging camera:
ZWO ASI2600MM-Pro monochrome astro-camera

filters and exposures:
Red: 300 sec X 15 (75 minutes), Green  300 sec X 15 (75 minutes), Blue:  300 sec X 16 (80 minutes)
All subs 300 sec (5-minutes) at 2X2 bin
total exposure time: 230 minutes (3.8-hours)

guiding:
off-axis

processing
