M64 "Blackeye Galaxy"

The "Black Eye Galaxy" (M64)is a spiral galaxy of approximately 100 billion stars, 17 million light-years away in the constellation of Coma Berenices. This cropped image is a joint project of James Foster and Michael Stecker using my Celestron 11-inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope at f/7 with a ZWO ASI2600MC-Pro color camera on a ZWO AM7 harmonic mount -- its first photo. The exposure time was (100-sec X 72).
