![]() Seahorse Nebula (B150) in Cepheus The Seahorse Nebula (Barnard 150) is a dark dusty nebula located in the constellation Cepheus about 1200 light years away from Earth. The dark nebula, about 1° long, is adjacent to three brown-colored dense gas cores labeled L1082 A, B and C where stars are being formed. This is a joint project of James Foster and Michael Stecker using a 10-inch f/4 Newtonian telescope, ZWO ASI 2600MC-Pro color camera and 11.6-hour exposure. file: SeaHorseB150_11.61hrsEXP2B-1arotcrsm.jpg Click here for full resolution photo Photographic Data Date: September, 2025 telescope: Sky-Watcher Quattro 250P (10-inch f/4 Newtonian telescope with coma corrector) FL= 1,000 mm mount: iOptron Cem60 guiding off-axis imaging cameras: ZWO ASI2600MC-Pro color astrocamera filter: none exposure: 417 X 100 sec total exposure time: 11.6-hours .photographic site: James Foster observatory at Pinon Pines Estates (Frazier Park) California (Bortle 4 at 5,500 ft elevstion) ![]() Fall foliage and cattle near James Foster Observatory at Pinon Pines Estates (Frasier Park, CA) September 18, 2025 file: CowPastureFOG18Sep25-cr1bx.jpg |
